Trillium Professional is now seeking an Industrial Engineer for direct-hire in Butte, MT!

Annual salary is $80k - $120k and  relocation assistance is available.

Seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to monitor our current operations and to establish more efficient production processes. The industrial engineer’s responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet established quality standards.

The successful candidate must have a proven background with efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information hardware development, and implementation knowhow for the manufacture of complex products. Candidate must have a BSIE, MSIE, or equivalent engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified individual in a technologically diverse organization that offers broad manufacturing management opportunities for the fabrication of multiple existing products and will include new products that are under development.

Responsibilities
-Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non- value-added activities to solve design challenges
-Conceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives
-Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to scheduling methods, performance metrics and financial standards
-Foster reputation by delivering innovative solutions while upholding
company, federal, and state regulations
-Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians

Responsibilities
-Review engineering specifications
-Develop management controls systems
-Determine how to conduct and deliver manufacturing services with maximum efficiency
-Participate in research to determine the qualified places to have manufacture components
-Utilize principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to streamline processes Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in production
-Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate/support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
-Develop and design robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve manufacturing processes to ensure best practice, performing structural and thermal analyses of components and assemblies, building prototypes, evaluating performance, identifying issues, and make improvements
-Institute quality control procedures to resolve quality control procedures
-Create and maintain required manufacturing process documentation including detailed work instructions, process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis and line balancing
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction to successfully complete projects

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering (IE or ME), Master’s degree preferred
-5+ years related engineering/management experience
-In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles
-Experience with building prototypes
-Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing
-Ability to interface with program management, manufacturing leads, customer, and functional leads; provide daily direction and guidance to junior associates and management
-Advanced experience using MS suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience with the implementation and use of ERP systems
-Strong project and event scheduling skills
-Experience working on multidisciplinary teams
-Creative problem-solving skills
-Adept critical thinking skills for complex issues
